Explore Dallas: Etsy Dallas' Jingle Bash 2017

It's two days after Halloween and I've already seen Christmas stuff go up because Thanksgiving is clearly a fly-over holiday for some people (*cough* my neighbors who already put up their lights *cough*).

I don't know about y'all, but I'm one of those crazy people who starts to get their lists - READ: NOT DECORATIONS - together the first week of November at the earliest. This goes for food prep* and Christmas presents (and selfie presents, those are a legit thing, trust me) so I'm not that person running around like a chicken with its head cut off on Christmas Eve. For your own sanity, try not to be that person.

Flyer for the event!

The team at Etsy Dallas** is lending a helping hand to get a jump start on your list - and it's not just Christmas stuff! If you celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanza, or just like cool things, the EtsyDallas Jingle Bash has got you covered from head to foot...seriously, one of my favorite hand knitted bear hats was bought here two years ago and I got some super rad fuzzy socks last year. And it's all handmade!!

*By food prep I mean the edible goodie boxes I give to friends and family during the season or as gifts. This takes planning and will for sure be its own post once we get closer to the baking madness that will ensue.

** Etsy Dallas is in no way affiliated with Etsy, aside from all of the members of the local craft collective owning shops on Etsy.com

One of the other things I love about this event is the goodie bag they give out to the first 50 people in line. THIS WILL BE MY 4TH YEAR AND I'M GETTING MY DAMN BAG! These 'Bash bags' are always filled with samples or actual full-size products provided by some of the sellers inside; a standout from the Spring Bash earlier this year was a lemon scented bath bomb from Whipped Up Wonderful - I seriously ran inside and bought a bag full of bubble taffy because they smelled so dang good.

Pro Tip: I've only got a bash bag at the Spring Bash this year because I got there hella early (ex. 1 1/2 hours before start time) and was number 6 in line. But Spring Bash is childs play compared to Jingle Bash. I have seen people get there AT THE BUTTCRACK OF DAWN to be first in line with chairs and warmers. I plan on being at least 3 hours early this year armed to the teeth with a book, puffy jacket, and a blanket to sit on so my butt doesn't go numb.

Shot of my 'Good Vibes' SweetTees shirt that I wore so much in the Summer I'm pretty sure people thought I lived in it.

Not to forget another one of my favorite stores that I'm a little (aka a lot) obsessed with that you should lookout for is SweetTees Shop. Y'all, I have gone to this place literally every time I've gone to the Bash, Spring or Jingle because these ladies consistently have the most adorable shirts for kids and adults, many with Texas Pride coming out the wazoo!

If you needed anymore persuading, a DIY craft station will be on site for you and little ones to get creative and you can take them home! There will also be two bars and food available for purchase through Eddie Deens (don't worry, you won't be the only one one walking around with a mimosa in hand at 11am, trust me).

If you happen to catch me wandering around with my bag loaded down with stuff, say hello! I promise that is just how my face looks when I'm sleep deprived. See you there!
